Today we went to HomeBase to find some flowers for the front and back garden. I am missing my flowers from our yard at home. We found pansies, mums, and "hot cakes". Hopefully it will brighten up the yard a little if the slugs don't attack them first. I am sure we looked pretty silly as we walked from the store with every one of us holding a flower along a busy highway. There are very small sidewalks here and so walking with four children in tow can be a heart pounding experience. We also have taken a couple walks along the "tow path". I guess they call it a tow path because that is how they pulled the boats along the river. It's not like the river front in Portland but it will do for now. I just have to keep a close eye on all bodies at all times.
